On Monday evening, February 16th, at 6:30 PM, Little Italy Orchestra, led by Giovanni Guidi, performed at the 37th Fajr Music Festival.

A brilliant performance by young musicians of the band which has been well-received by the audience. Their Jazz music improvisation with electric instruments created a delightful ambience for the audience who applauded them repeatedly. Their performed repertoire included, The House Be: Il Campione, Leonie hind This One, Roma 1962. Giovanni Guidi (piao player), Stefano Carbonelli (electric guitar/acoustic guitar player), Nicolò Francesco Faraglia (electric guitar player), Joe Rehmer (electric bass player), Federico Negri (drums player) and Giovanni Iacovella (drums player) went on stage in this performance.

Giovanni Guidi, born in Folignoin Italy in 1985, is one of the most consistently creative pianists in Europe today, focusing inspirations from contemporary jazz and free playing in a strongly lyrical approach of his own. As well as composing his own material, he has a discerning ear for pieces his group might adapt.
